School teacher sentenced to 1 year in jail for possessing sexually stimulating drugs and narcotics

Saiful (42) arrested for possession of drugs and sex stimulants

The Narcotics Control Department has arrested a teacher named Saiful (42) in Jhalkati with 460 Viagra and 60 Patadin injections.

He was arrested on Wednesday (March 6) afternoon from South Piplita village of Keoda Sangha in Sadar Upazila. The arrested Saiful is a teacher of Swaroopkathi Ata Lower Secondary School in Pirojpur district.

Abdur Kader, assistant director of Jhalkati Narcotics Control Department, said Saiful of South Piplita village used to sell sex stimulant pills and pethidine injections from his house. Based on a tip-off, the officials of the Narcotics Control Department raided the house. At that time, Saiful was arrested from inside the house with 460 Viagra pills and 60 Patadin injections.

He was later sentenced to one year in prison and fined Rs 50,000 by Mobile Court Executive Magistrate Anching Marma. He also said that he was sent to Jhalokati jail after the sentencing.
