Russia-Ukraine foreign ministers hold talks in Turkey today

The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Russia are meeting in Turkey for the first time since the start of the war. The high-level meeting is due to take place in the Turkish city of Antalya on Thursday. From there the solution to the Ukraine crisis will emerge. That’s what many people are expecting.

Meanwhile, China has shown interest in mediating between the two countries. Analysts say the Russian offensive in Ukraine will soon end as Russia’s allies move to resolve the crisis.

Turkey showed a glimmer of hope when one after the other Western sanctions failed to deter Putin. Earlier, representatives of both the countries had met on three occasions at the Belarusian border.
There is no solution to the crisis. However, with Ukraine and Russia having close ties with Turkey, this high-level meeting could lead to a solution.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said: “We are ready for the meeting.” I look forward to meeting with Lavrov. We will sit down and talk about solutions to the problems. Hope it will be a fruitful meeting.

Meanwhile, China has also spoken on the issue of Ukraine. The country is keen to mediate between the two countries to resolve the crisis.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the two countries were calling for peace talks to resolve the current crisis. We support any peaceful move. We want to play a role in the peace talks between the two countries. China is also interested in working with the international community in this regard.

When the West failed, Russia’s allies, such as China and Turkey, intervened and many said the Ukraine war would soon end.
