Two days after the boat capsized in the Sheetlakshya river, the body of missing college student Rahima Akhtar (18) has been recovered from Narayanganj.

Rahima’s body was recovered from Nitaiganj area of ​​the city on Monday (March 8) afternoon and sent to the morgue of Narayanganj General Hospital. Narayanganj Sadar Naval Police Station OC confirmed the rescue of the dead body in the night. Moniruzzaman.

He said the locals saw a dead body floating in the river and informed the police. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for post-mortem. The rescued body has been identified by the relatives of the missing.

He said that Rahima’s elder brother Raihan and his wife were going to see the doctor in Chasra on Saturday (March 5) afternoon. Rahima was also with him. His boat sank after being hit by a bulkhead on the way. At that time Rahima’s brother and sister-in-law were able to swim along the river but he drowned.
