Russian attack on children’s hospital in Ukraine

The ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict has seen an increasing amount of destruction and damage. After this, on Wednesday (March 9), the Russian army launched a new offensive. Ukraine has accused the Russian military of attacking a children’s hospital in Ukraine.

A Reuters report has confirmed this information. Ukraine’s Mariupol city council has claimed that Russian soldiers stormed a maternity hospital in the city. Mariupol city council has released a video of the attack. The hospital building is seen seriously damaged in the video. Debris is scattered all around.

The city council said in a statement that Russia’s attack had destroyed a maternal and children’s hospital, a pediatric ward and a medical department in the city center. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky posted a video of the destroyed hospital on Twitter. He has sharply criticized the Russian attack.

Russian troops launched a series of bombing and missile strikes on Ukraine, minutes after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his military operation on Thursday (February 24). Since then there has been a war between Ukraine and Russia.
