The Vice Chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology, Dr. Dr. demanded cancellation of illegal appointments of the Vice-Chancellor, investigation of irregularities and corruption. The students took out a march against Rostam Ali by showing them brooms and sandals. During this he spit and expressed hatred.
Students gathered on the university campus after a protest rally on Sunday (March 8) afternoon. The students there said that in the last four years, the Vice-Chancellor of the university has committed huge irregularities and corruption. Being the chairman of the self-appointment board, he has unjustly and illegally appointed some relatives including his niece Kaniz Fatema, niece Hasibur Rahman, his brother-in-law’s son Mir Ramzan. The students demanded to stop the mass recruitment including cancellation of these illegal appointments.
The students also demanded a probe into the vice-chancellor’s misdeeds including commission of the development project, embezzlement of money through fake vouchers, purchase of books by Harilut. Simultaneously, the students demanded a campus-free campus considering the university’s session disorder taking a fatal turn. He said at a rally in Swadhinata Chhattar that he had organized such an event to protest the clandestine escape of Vice Chancellor Rostam Ali due to irregularities and corruption. That is why he has run such a program so that in future no other Vice Chancellor will run away with such irregularities and corruption.
