Russia-Ukraine crisis: Foreign ministerial meeting ends without progress

On Thursday (March 10) the 15th day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a meeting was held between the foreign ministers of the two countries in Ankara, Turkey. There was no progress on the ceasefire. This is the first meeting at the Foreign Minister level since the start of the war. News from BBC.

Ukraine said after the meeting that no progress had been made on the ceasefire. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said the demands made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov tantamount to surrender. Meanwhile, Russia has claimed that its military operation in Ukraine is progressing as planned.

“I want to reiterate that Ukraine has not surrendered, is not surrendering and will not surrender,” he said.

Russia’s foreign minister has accused Western countries of supplying weapons to Ukraine and provoking conflict. Russia will abide by Western sanctions. The crisis will be overcome with better psychology and conscience.
