Russia agrees to a ceasefire in Ukraine, Putin agrees with French president


#Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to a ceasefire to ease tensions in Ukraine. On this day, the two talked for about 105 minutes on the phone. The two sides agreed to observe a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine for the time being.

According to the office of the French president, Macron and Putin also agreed that the ideal environment is needed to find a diplomatic solution to the current crisis in Ukraine. France and Russia’s foreign ministers are expected to discuss the matter soon.

The forces of the pro-Russian separatist organization are currently fighting the country’s security forces in eastern Ukraine.

Macron and Putin also agreed that members of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE group would soon meet in Paris to discuss a ceasefire.

Putin and Macron have agreed that talks between Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany should resume in order to reduce tensions in Ukraine.

The United States has also been active in preventing war in Ukraine US President Joe Biden has said he is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at any time to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
